Danish Energy Management is developing a set of thematic fiches, which will be covering issues of interest to the implementers and administrators of the Energy Facility projects. The first fiches are now available in electronic format.

Thematic Fiche no. 1 is describing the set of indicators that can be selected for projects financed by the ACP-EU Energy Facility in order to allow measuring the overall impact of all Energy Facility projects. The fiche is also suggesting how indicators can be established for individual energy projects, allowing to check the achievement of expected results and objectives.

Thematic Fiche no. 2 is dealing with the importance of access to modern energy when working to ensure socio-economic development. Since the World Summit on Sustainable Development of 2002 it has been recognized that one of the greatest limitations to development has been the inequitable access to modern energy services – electricity, natural gas, modern cooking fuel and mechanical power. Access to modern energy services is fundamental to fulfilling basic social needs, driving economic growth and fuelling human development.
